WHAT WILL MY PROJECT COST? ONLY TRUE ANSWER IS, “IT DEPENDS.”
As most people are more familiar with the ins-and-outs of a house we’ll use that knowledge to establish a precedent. When considering building a house, generally, you will get an estimate of about $150 per square foot. That number usually only encompasses the construction cost, which to be fair is usually the bulk cost of the project, but what about land cost (acreage, location, utilities), drawings, furniture, appliances, landscaping, electronics (TVs, speakers, etc.), generator(s), swimming pool, fencing, etc.? With all that in mind our approach is a little different from the ‘other guys’ we call it the “All-In Budget”.
ALL-IN BUDGET
The “All-In Budget” is a detailed breakdown of every project cost from the infancy of the project all the way through the life of the building. Usually our “All-In Budget” is larger than the ‘other guys’ but helps to avoid surprises at the end of the project. Also, if you have any aspects of our “All-In Budget” already covered we can just scratch it out up front without you being liable/responsible for that item.
ADDED ASPECTS OF A PROJECT INCLUDE:
- Land
- Due Diligence
- Design – Most estimates won’t include the cost of design even though the designers know what it is.
- Interiors (Furniture/Appliances/Electronics) – Beyond the actual material and labor costs to build a project, most of the ‘other guys’ don’t include an estimate on what it will cost to furnish your project. This is a huge cost that often gets overlooked and forgotten about until the very end, but we detail the cost of the appliances, furniture, and electronics unique to your project.
- Exteriors/Landscaping/Fencing – There’s nothing worse than having a finished project that looks like it’s still under construction because the landscaping was left out of the project scope. Our “All-In Budget” brings attention to this finishing touch.
