One source, one solution: it’s the guiding principle of Labarre Associates and dream of our founder, Jay Labarre. Currently the CEO, Jay uses a bird’s eye view to strategically plan the future of the firm’s four services: Architecture, Construction, Strategic Facility Planning, and Real Estate. A born leader, he is dedicated to treating each client and teammate with transparency, kindness, and respect. Jay has a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Construction Technology from LSU. Like all dedicated professionals, his education didn’t stop after leaving midterms and lecture halls behind—within his career, he has achieved NCARB certification as well as CFM and SFP designations from IFMA. He is a licensed Architect in Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, and Alabama and a Licensed General Contractor in Louisiana.

From the start of his career, Jay’s passion for guiding others made him a trusted pillar within many professional circles. He now sits on the Board of Directors for the Livingston Economic Development Council and maintains an active presence on its Executive Committee. He also served as a past Chairman of AIA FM, past president of the IFMA Baton Rouge Chapter, and past member of the LSAB. In addition to his professional achievements, Jay is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children through CASA where he makes a life-changing difference for children who have experienced abuse or neglect by helping judges develop a fuller picture of each child’s life. His advocacy enables judges to make the most well-informed decision for each child. Although these positions are a true honor, Jay’s most important roles in life are being a husband, father, and grandfather.
